About Satria H R Harsono

My name is Satria Hafizh Rizkitama Harsono.

I am a Systems Performance Architect and Researcher. My work focuses on building high-volume systems that are both efficient and reliable. I enjoy connecting practical software engineering with academic research.

Currently, I am the Lead Engineer for core systems at Alterra Bills. In this role, I manage architectures that handle more than 1 million transactions every day. With seven years of experience in the Indonesian tech industry—including working on financial services at Bukalapak—I have developed a deep interest in how systems behave under heavy pressure.

My Core Principles

My professional work is guided by two main ideas:

  • Proactive Engineering: I believe that good engineering is about being prepared. Instead of just fixing problems when they happen, I design systems to be resilient from the start. My goal is to build systems that can handle growth and challenges with zero downtime.
  • The Importance of Efficiency: To me, making a system faster is not just a technical task; it is a way to respect resources. By optimizing code, we can reduce the need for expensive hardware and provide a better experience for the user. I believe that better code leads to more sustainable businesses.

My Next Journey

I am currently shifting my focus from building general software to specialized research and consulting in two main areas:

1. AI Performance Research

I am preparing for a PhD path where I will study the performance of AI models. Using my experience with my own project, Sigap, I am researching how to make Machine Learning models work faster and more efficiently. I want to understand the "physics" of how these intelligent systems run.

2. Odoo Performance Consulting

I am also bringing my experience with high-traffic backends to the Odoo ecosystem. Many businesses face technical "walls" as they grow. I help these companies by profiling their systems and tuning their Odoo environments to ensure they can scale smoothly without performance issues.

I believe that every technical challenge is an opportunity to learn something new. I am no longer just a software builder; I am a researcher looking for the limits of what technology can do.
